: : : Problems and solutions

1- The cellar temperature seems to vary by 3 or 4 degrees frequently.

This is normal: small differences in temperature are necessary for the unit to work properly. When the cellar starts a defrost cycle, the temperature rises slightly. When the cooling system resumes working, the temperature cools down.

Such changes happen over a short time and their influence is too minimal to affect wine preservation. Liquid tends to keep an average temperature by physical law. For example, if a swimming pool’s temperature is at 80°F and, one night, outside temperature drops to 65°F, the water’s temperature will not drop as much. In the morning, it might only be at 77°F.

2- The cellar is working, but isn’t cold enough (or not cold at all).

Adjust the front glide feet until the door is level with the cellar. Check the door seals. The room may require a colder setting. Try not to open the door too often.

3- Water has accumulated on the floor.

Make sure the drain leading from inside the unit to the back evaporation pan is properly in place. If so, during humid times, you may need to remove excess water with a sponge.

4- Water has appeared in the back of the cellar.

Make sure the drain leading from inside the unit to the back evaporation pan is properly in place. If so, during humid times, you may need to remove excess water with a sponge.

5- Ice has formed on the evaporator unit, inside the cellar.

Check whether the seals on the doors are tight (close well). Faulty seals can result in heat entering the wine cellar and causing ice to form. If the seals are tight, there may be a problem with the cooling device.

6- The cellar is noisy.

Find where the noise is coming from. A crackling sound might be caused by the cooling fluid, which is normal. At the end of each cycle, you might hear a bubbly noise coming from the fluid circulating in the pipes, which is normal. The interior walls contracting and expanding may also cause clicking or cracking sounds. If the noise seems to come from elsewhere, adjust the front glide feet until the unit is level.

7- The cellar never seems to stop: the unit is always on.

Make sure the door is closed properly. Add a separate thermometer inside the cellar to see if the cellar thermostat indicates the same temperature. If the results are different, recalibrate the unit. Check the instructions manual.

8- Mist has appeared between the thermal window panes.

During highly humid times, especially during summer, this can happen.

9- Mist has appeared on the cellar’s outside panels.

During highly humid times, especially during summer, this can happen.

10- Mist has appeared inside the thermal window panes.

The window panes need to be replaced.

11- The cellar door opens by itself..

Make sure the lock is properly aligned with the L-shaped piece. Make sure the door is level, and that the top and bottom hooks align with the top and bottom stops. Make sure that shelves are properly installed and that the cellar is level.

12- The lock system isn’t working properly.

Make sure the lock is properly aligned with the L-shaped piece. Make sure the door is level with the cellar.

13- The door isn’t level with the case.

Adjust the front glide feet so that the door is level with the cellar.

14- The two cellar doors aren’t aligned.

Adjust the front glide feet so that the two doors are properly aligned.

15- The lock system isn’t working properly.

Make sure the doors are aligned with each other and level with the cellar.

16- Nothing works.

Make sure there is electricity running from your circuit. Also, your wine cellar should be the only device plugged into your socket. We recommend dedicating a 15-amp circuit solely to powering the cellar.

17- The cellar starts and stops frequently.

The room may be hotter than normal, or the cellar may have reached full capacity. Make sure that the cellar door is closing properly, that the thermostat is set properly, and that the door seals are in good condition.

18- The cellar vibrates.

Adjust the front glide feet so that the cellar is level.

19- The cellar displays an E1, E2, E3, or E4 error code.

An E1 or E2 error code means the temperature sensor of the upper zone is not working properly. An E3 or E4 error code means the temperature sensor of the lower zone is not working properly.
